Completely Stressed

I have had to work long hours this week and am completely stressed, especially since Katelyn's Birthday party is at my house on Saturday...oh did I mention the heat went out in our house Tuesday? Thought it got fixed Wednesday only to find out a little too late to call the repair man back the same day...hopefully today it will be fixed! To keep me sane while working these long hours and keep me in contact with my kids, Jon has been telling me (over the phone) what they are up to this week...Katelyn is going through a "monster" stage. She now claims "there is no much thing" yes "much" not "such"---it makes me laugh! Heston is acting like a little man, he is happy (as long as he is watching Barney) and dispite a runny nose, is great. Even with me gone. Josh goes to the spelling bee tomorrow, which I cannot attend, so GrandSherry will go root him on. He is excited about baseball sign ups (which are Saturday, and Daddy is coaching) I will be posting new pictures etc by early next week of Katelyn's 4th b-day and party...can't believe she is 4!

Enjoying Life

We are truly enjoying life here in Tennessee. Jon started volunteering in the media department at church, well, more like they asked him to help and he agreed). he now works in the youth service on camera and sound/lights! He said he really enjoyed last night (which was his 1st). Katelyn's party invitaions have been mailed and her party is now a little over a week away and I am up against a huge deadline the day before at work. Josh is headed back to the spelling bee on 1/30/09 since the one on 1/16/09 was postponed...so we are still practicing! Heston is acting better now that he has spent considerable time in time out! Heston has hit the terrible 2's, a bit early

Heston is being a bad boy these days, we had to leave a resturaunt last night b/c (in katelyn's words) "Heston isn't cooperating" This morning he threw his bowl of oatmeal on the floor and broke the bowl...last night he poured speghetti o's on his head and on his highchair tray...something about eating with this child. Jon thinks out of the 3 he is going to be our trouble maker. I am going to try to be more positive. Katelyn is more than ready to try to be night time potty trained, we are working on it, last night she woke up and said "mommy, i wet, i am so sorry" what can you say to that? She is too sweet, but talks all the time. I often say I can only handle one girl, b/c she talks non stop and cries at the drop of a hat...Josh, well, is 8 and still thinks he rules the world, and somehow thinks he doesnt have to follow the rules. Jon and I are trying to hold our own, however, last night we fell asleep before 8:00, either we are getting old or our kids are taking our energy and sanity away!

Funny Happenings

The other day Jon took the kids to McDonalds since I had to work late: they were playing in the play area which is "roped" off with Mesh siding...I met them there late, Heston saw me and took off towards me. He ran right into the mesh siding and fell backwards, he kept smiling trying to get to me, he even had a little pattern on his nose.
Katelyn was dancing last night while wearing her swimsuit, she had a stick too...she wanted me to get in my swimsuit and join her...(it was even snowing at the time) I did join her, but not in my swinsuit...she loves to be the center of attention. She likes for us to announce her entering a room with "ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, introducing....Katelyn Davis...
Josh never stops amazing me...he lied to me about using the microwave today...he is pushing his limits and testing the waters...He also tries to be the parent. i.e. he has recently started spanking the younger 2 and now Heston runs like crazy to get away from him...

I'm Behind

We have had extremely cold weather this past week. Saturday I woke up, and dispite our wrapping the pipes, they froze...no water on my only day off-not good. I am behind on laundry like you would not believe. It is a good thing the kids didn't have school/day care today. I am just getting caught up, I think with 2 loads left. Josh didn't have school Friday due to cold weather-ever heard of that?-So the spelling bee didn't happen. He spent the night with GrandSherry and Granddad last night and I believe he had a good time. They stayed up late watching a movie. I have finally gotten all of Katelyn's Birthday invitations mailed and am hoping for a good turn out. Josh is getting signed up for baseball and Jon is thinking he wants to coach...which means a lot more work from both of us, but we are looking forward to it. We'll keep everyone updated.

Katelyn was coloring with GrandSherry last night and GS left off his ears. Katelyn decided he needed them so she added ears...big ears...looking dissatisfied she turned and said "I wanted them to be big anyways..." She is also talking non stop about her upcoming B-day party, which is January 31st...pray for me...Heston is into the phrase "I want"... how does that start so young? All is well with the Davis' today!

All is well

Well we all survived the "sick day" yesterday. I spent last night doing laundry, cleaning the wall where Josh "missed" the trash can, doing the dishes, and just all in all disinfecting the house. I have also joined facebook and am finding a ton of old friends which is great. The kids are better than ever, if I can just get Josh more motivated to study his spelling words for the Spelling Bee Friday we'd be even better!

Sick Days and Good Grades

Well Josh came home with his report card and awards on Friday. He called me so excited because he got 3 awards and had straight A's!!! He does work hard, but if I may say so, he is just smart! Last night at 11 Josh woke up sick, following him was Jon and Katelyn, who threw up from 2-4. Here I am at work with about 4 hours of sleep. This is also Josh's first time to miss school this year, so there goes his perfect attendance. Jon (sick) is at home with 2 sick Kids, so only time will tell if he can handle it, When I left to take Heston to daycare they were all in bed, alseep. So far, Heston and I are fine!

Pictures and Happenings

Here are some pictures and recent happenings in our happy home. Katelyn got a microphone for Christmas, she understood the concept just didnt know the name, she called it a "speakalater". Which we thought was cute and creative. Josh is heading to the Spelling Bee on 1/16/09 to represent his 3rd grade class. We are so proud. He also took the liberty to call GrandSherry and Granddad yesterday (without our knowledge) to make sure Granddad's wallet was full since he gets his report card today. Heston of course is fine, he is however, about to hit 2 which means...terrible two's!

This is new

Ok so I am new to this, but it is one of my many news years resolutions. I hope to get a little more technical and post pictures and daily stories of our crazy little life here in Tennessee. The kids are growing up so fast and really say the cutest things, that I want to not only remember, but share. Hope you can talerate me learning and enjoy as I try to do this a couple of times a week.
