Adoption Day
Well it finally happened. After years of saying one day I would like to be able to adopt Josh, it was made final today. The Judge said "Congratulations Mrs. Davis, it's a boy". We are thrilled and Josh is too. Josh's name was still legally McFarland, even though it was ordered several years ago to be changed to Davis. It never got done. Jon was also omitted from his birth certificate by Stephanie so that too got added today. Jon and I are listed as parents on the birth certificate and once we receive the new one we can change his name with the Social Security Office. Baseball is also going well. They are in a tournament this week, so life is busy busy. I have a huge federal case trial next month so that will consume a lot of my time...but it will be something different than just showing up to work at the office. The little ones are doing well. Heston is growing and saying new things all the time. Katelyn loves Jesus and God and often prays and tells us Bible stories. Yesterday on the way to school she told me how she cant wait to go to heaven and tell God about her dream. She is involved in her childrens choir and they are to sing on Sunday night, she loves the stage and isnt shy at all. When Heston gets there, I will probably have to stand with him on stage, he is a bit more shy than Katelyn. Josh is also involved in childrens choir so Sunday afternoons are busy for us too. He has his spring program in May and I believe is looking forward to it. Jon and I are fine as well. We are having a get together at our house Saturday for friends that I went to high school with, which I am looking forward to...havent seen them in 10 years or more.

Round 2
All in all the all the boys B-days were great. Heston was not sick on his B-day, so day 5 is the cure day for the most recent stomach bug. His real B-day consisted of Dr.s appointments, in which the things he hated most was having to take off his shoes and getting weighed...30 pounds now and 35" tall. He also cried when Katelyn got weighed at her Dr.'s apt. Katelyn had her first dentist apt. yesterday and does have 2 cavities so we will be going back to get that taken care of. she now wants to be a dentist. He gave her a pair of his gloves, so last night she was brushing my teeth, telling me she was going to tickle them and counting them with a pen....Josh is 77 pounds and 4' 7" tall. and was deemed to be in great and healthy shape! Praise the Lord. All is well these days. The kids are getting so big and learning so much. Josh learns a new bible verse monthly for church and knows the books of the Bible. Katelyn also knows the books of the Bible (Thanks to a CD that mom got them.) and Heston now says Bible when he sings to the Bible songs CD's in the car.

Celebration Day
Today is my dad's 60th B-day. Friday was Josh's 9th B-day and on Thursday, The 12th, is Heston's 2nd b-day. We are almost B-dayed out! We are celebrating all three tonight with presents, pizza, cake and ice cream at our house. Josh will have his official B-day party on April 25 at the Chattanooga Lookouts Game with 4 or 5 of this friends, and he had a friend spend the night with him on Friday. So all in all he had a great day. On Thursday I will be taking all the kids to various Dr's apts. Heston will have his 2 year check up...then I realized I needed to confirm that he was not due any shots since that day is his real B-day, I could not bear the thought of that baby getting shots on his B-day! So called and he is all clear, no shots that day! and there was much rejoicing...this week is also a conference at our church, I will be working in the nursery for the next several nights and Jon will be coaching Baseball practice on Thursday to get ready for the teams 1st practice game on Saturday. Jon will also be on kid duty much of the week, since I will be working at church. He was on kid duty last night and Heston Threw up 4 times... daddy was a hero, did laundry, changed sheets, clothes, etc...and allowed Heston to sleep between us all night! After all is said and done, We had a beautiful weekend...friends, family, and B-day party's to attend, (Heston and Katelyn went to a friends party on Saturday from Mommy Carols daycare) the kids had a blast, but we are so tired!

Baseball begins
Jon is coaching Josh's team this year, he is very excited, and maybe nervous too. I am confident He will do fine. Josh is # 17 this year, So of course, JD # 17 is still around. I will try to take pictures tonight before his 1st practice to post. We will have a very busy few months ahead. Should be a good season which I think we are all looking forward to. Katelyn is doing fine since her surgery and hasn't been waking up with breathing problems, now it is due to bad dreams...Heston is in his final days of being one, which makes me incrediably sad. I no longer have a baby in the house, now on to potty training and all the other fun stuff that comes with getting bigger. I will taking off on his b-day to take all three kids to various Dr.'s appointments, check ups and follow-ups, so hoping to spend some extra time with each that day. Should be fun! Keep you all posted. We will be celebrating the boys' B-days on the 9th (which is my dad's B-day)...that is the only day we can all get together in the next 2 weeks. hectic schedules...
