Well, we have been busy! Softball, Brownies, Baseball, end of school year projects, parties, you name it, we've done it!
Heston is doing fine. He is ready for 1st grade, can you believe it, FIRST GRADE! The other day he came in our room and told me he had a fore ache, I could not figure out what he meant, so after some discussion, he told me like a headache, but not his head, his forehead ache...oh my my!
Katelyn is great, she had a major bike wreck on Monday, overall she is fine, but her elbows have a long way to go. Heston discribed what happened..."her tire hit the basketball goal, she flew over the handle bars and slid on the driveway" She also lost a tooth this week! She is playing softball and just finished with her 2nd year of girl scouts. She thinks Jon and I are OLD! here are 3 examples:
Overheard: "Heston, there were no TV's when mom was a kid"
It was 80's day at day camp the other day. She jumps in the car and asked me "what did they wear in the 80's" I answered, " oh, let me think about it" to which she replies "well ask dad, he's old"
several months ago, we were talking at dinner and she asked us "what did ya'll do back in the 1900's...she is a mess--going into 3rd Grade, you heard me, THIRD GRADE!!
Josh is also doing well. He is playing baseball this summer and also doing some training with a personal trainer to help him in sports. he plans on trying out for football at the end of July. He is getting tall 5'6'' and weighs 144 lbs. He wears a 12.5 mens shoe!! He has braces now and is just really growing up! He even did his first load of laundry last week! He made honor roll and has been asked to take spanish next year for high school credit! He is 8th grade bound! That's right folks, EIGHTH GRADE (5 more years!) I can't even think about it!
I have pictures I want to post, but for some reason, they have once again changed formats on blogger so I have to figure out how to do it...ugg
Come into our lives and see what all the craziness is about. Enjoy laughing with us or at us as the case may be!

I'm Baaacck!
It has been a long while since I have posted. For that I am sorry. Things got a bit hectic aroung Thanksgiving and are just now getting a little bit normal again. In Late November, I went from working in the probate dept to the gaurdianship dept at work. The job is significantly different and was not an expected change. I just now feel like I know what I am doing. Jon also changed jobs and is now working at Scenic City Glass (first day was 2/4/13). He is enjoying it, although his hours are 7-3:30. So he is no longer able to help with the kids in the morning.
In December, the kids went to my parents church for a visit because Jon and I had something else going on. Little did we know that Sunday would change our lives in a big way. They enjoyed it so much that they came home and said they never want to go back to our church but want to go to their church. We immediately started visiting Dallas Bay Baptist Church and recently we joined. Josh is very involved in the youth group and is going to youth camp this summer and the little ones enjoy their activities too. Jon and I haven't quite found our nitch but are happy about the change.
Josh took the ACT in February and did well for his age group. He has recently been talking about engineering, which we are encouraging him to pursue. He played basketball for a recreation league and really enjoyed it. His team won the campionship for his age group. He made the baseball team at school and has had a busy season. He is making good grades and staying out of trouble (well except reading in class). He is about 140 Lbs. and about 5'6"--he's grown a lot since Christmas. We just bought him new baseball cleats and they are a mens size 12!! He also got braces and is apparently in the long term plan, as he will be in them about 4 years!
Katelyn is finished playing basketball and came in runner up in the campionship game. She did well. She is involved in girl scouts and is playing softball. She is about 99 lbs and stands at a whooping 4'9". her grades are outstanding.
Heston is excelling in Kindergarten. So far, we have kept him out of sports since football but he is interested in playing soccer and basketball so those are our next venture...probably won't start til the fall. He did get in trouble last week that resulted in a 1 day suspension from school (for giving a wedgie to a little girl in his class at recess). The principal wasn't there the day it happened and the teacher in charge punished him. I was later told that the punishment did not fit the "crime". He really loves his teacher (who also goes to our new church). He weighs in a 40 lbs and is 3'11 1/2" tall. He also has 2 cavities that will be filled on Monday (3/22/13)
The little ones are all registered for summer day care and are excited about going. They will be attending Camp Big Fish, a christian day camp. They will go 2 weeks, then off a week (me or my mom will keep them on their weeks off) It is kind of a win-win. They get a break and somewhat of a summer and get to maintain a schedule to keep from getting bored and/or lazy. They are scheduled to go to VBS as well.
Things have slowly gotten normal again and I hope to post pictures and write a little more often.
